Miranda Pals studied Law in Maastricht and started in advocacy at a Rotterdam-based, internationally operating firm in the field of general administrative law. She has devoted herself to the administrative side of real estate practice ever since.
MIRANDA IS SPECIALISED IN ADVICE REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, SPATIAL PLANNING ISSUES AND RELATED MATTERS;
This includes decision-making for planning and licensing, expropriation, the application of the Dutch Municipal Preferential Rights Act, planning compensation (redressing agreements), cost recovery and sectoral environmental aspects. During the transition phase to Environmental law, Miranda also advises with regards to the optimal usage of innovative decision-making possibilities under the Crisis and Recovery Act.
To this end, she advises municipalities, project developers and housing corporations and she litigates for both the civil and the administrative court. Miranda is a member of the Construction Law Lawyers’ Association, the Administrative Law Association (VAR) and she is affiliated with the Construction network. She also publishes regularly, including on the environmental knowledge platform Omgevingsweb. In 2017, Miranda successfully completed the Grotius specialisation programme in Environmental Law.
